Molasses
. . . is the main byproduct of sugar industries which is normally 4.5% of total cane crushed. It is raw material for Industrial Alcohol. There are 7 distilleries (Majhola, Anoop Shahar, Kaimganj, Nanauta, Ghosi, Sampurna Nagar, Bajpur(now in Uttarnchal) ) installed in the federation for using this main byproduct. Total capacity of these distilleries is 210 Lacs bulk liter per day.

Bagasse
. . . is the the 2nd major byproduct which is used as fuel in boilers. The remaining bagasses is being sold to the manufacturers of particle board, paper and news papers.

All these distilleries are producing Industrial Alcohol out of which one distillery i.e. Majhola in district Pilibhit is producing country liquor and foreign liquor also. Which has become very Popular.
