| Co-Generation Activity | |
| There is a lot
of scope for cogeneration of power to utilise excess bagasse which
is obtained from Sugar factories as byproduct. In initial stage, two
power co-generation plants at Belraya in district Lakhimpur (Kheri)
and Snehroad in district Bijnore Co-operative Sugar mills are proposed
to generate 10MW power each. After installation of these plants, about
20MW power would be evacuated to the state grid under an agreement
with electricity board. Besides above, all the Co-operative Sugar Mills are already generating power for their captive use. |
